We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Board as Treasurer. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the communications profession while gaining valuable experience in financial management on a leadership Board.

Treasurer role description

Position Volunteer Board Member: Treasurer

Organisation IABC Victoria

Location Flexible remote working

As a Volunteer Board Member, you will work with fellow Board members to advance our purpose – contributing your expertise and insights to key decision-making processes.

As Treasurer, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining accurate financial records.

  • Developing and presenting financial reports to the Board.

  • Advising on budgeting and financial planning.

  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

  • Collaborating with Board members and stakeholders on financial matters.

Qualifications

  • A passion for advancing the field of communications and supporting fellow professionals.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, volunteer-driven environment.

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with attention to financial detail. 

  • A willingness and aptitude to learn. 

  • Experience in a role that involves financial responsibility or budget management is an advantage.
