Message from the President - August 2025
Two words are guiding the Board this year: community and momentum.
We want every member and every friend of IABC to feel part of something bigger, while also keeping pace with the rapid change shaping our profession. I’m thrilled to share that we're making strong progress on both fronts.
Our recent events now attract a 50/50 mix of members and friends of IABC, with many first-time visitors returning quickly. They tell us it’s the genuine sense of belonging that keeps them coming back. It’s this diversity of people, experiences and insights that makes the IABC community richer. Thank you for being part of it.
If you take one thing from this newsletter, let it be this: register now for the 2025 Oration. Recent events have sold out, and with this powerhouse line-up, we expect no different.

Diversity of perspective is vital. With that in mind, I encourage you to bring along a Gen Z colleague, client or friend (aged 13–28). By 2030, Gen Z will make up nearly a third of the global workforce. With their lived experience of social media, influencers, content creation and strong sense of purpose, they bring insights our profession needs - especially as AI reshapes the way we work.
